I write to leave him a legacy,
To record forever that somewhere on this planet,
a woman loved a very good man,
And the love was a sign that her heart was pure.
But it was also a testament to his goodness,
For God wove everything lovely into the man’s soul.
The man was gentle and kind and never yelled at her.
He supported her in her weaknesses and in her strengths,
And when she saw him, her tummy would flutter inside of her for his smile.
To engage with the man was to experience the warmth of a spirit quite rare upon the earth.
His comely form was evident to any who would gaze upon him
but something more resided…
An aura of serenity.
Invisible light.

She knew he was not perfect.
But she also knew that he was more perfect than not,
And that his imperfections were very small
compared to the wondrous things
inside of him.
I write to leave him a legacy,
To record forever that somewhere on this planet,
A woman loved a very good man,
And the love was a sign
That her heart
was pure.
